James Levine

JAMES LEVINE...Director, The Fatherhood Project Families and Work Institute

Jim Levine is director of The Fatherhood Project, which he founded in 1981 while he was vice president of the Bank Street College of Education and relocated in 1989 to the Families and Work Institute in New York City. He is also a consultant of Bright Horizons Family Solutions, the nation's leading provider of workplace-based child care and also writes an online column for Family Edge.com. Jim graduated form Amherst College and earned his Ed.D. at Harvard University. He has been profiled on ABC's 20/20 and recognized by Esquire in the 1980s ("Men Under 40 Who are Changing America") and Working Mother in the 1990s ("25 Men in America who make a difference in the lives of working mothers").

He has authored seven books and over 100 articles. He was Executive Producer for the two-hour PBS documentary, Fatherhood USA, which first aired in June, 1998.
