Caroline
Ashleigh is the founder of Caroline Ashleigh Associates,
Inc., a firm in Birmingham, Michigan that provides art
and antique appraisal and consultation services for
museums, galleries, law firms, banks, insurance companies,
hospitals, universities, corporate and private collectors.

Ms.
Ashleigh is a graduate of New York University in Appraisal
Studies in Fine and Decorative Arts and the Midwest regional
representative for the Appraisers Association of America,
and is a certified board member of that organization.
In
1996, Caroline Ashleigh was invited by PBS to appraise in
the first season of the Antiques Roadshow, and has
continued to appraise on the program for nine consecutive
seasons from 1996-2004.
Ms.
Ashleigh has also served as a member of the educational department
staff of the Detroit Institute of Arts from 1988 to
1999 and Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills,
Michigan.
She
lectures extensively to public forums on connoisseurship and
is a columnist and author on art and antiques. Caroline Ashleigh
has been the subject of feature stories in The New York
Times and Art and Antiques Magazine and served
as a consultant to CBS News, Inside Edition
on the subject of art fraud. She is a contributing author
for All About Appraising: The Definitive Appraisal
Handbook published by the Appraisers Association
of America, Michigan Bar Journal, Chubb Collectors, Roadshow
Collectibles Primer, and Roadshow Insider Magazine.

Ashleigh is the subject of biographical record in Marquis
Whos Who in the World, Whos Who in America
and Whos Who of American Women from 1997 to 2004
for outstanding achievement in her field of expertise.
